Aurinko Academy is an Alternative School, in Bangalore, aimed at providing a learning environment for children where their core is safeguarded, strengthened and perfected. The School believes that humans have an intrinsic ability to learn from the environment and hence has endeavored to render, such an environment which is conducive, where the teachers facilitate unstructured child-led learning possibilities under the broad framework of the structured Aurinko Curriculum. Admissions are invited into the Level 1 and Level 2 ( 6years – 13 years) for the academic year 2012- 13

Having a small aim is crime: Kalam

Have an aim in life and work hard towards realizing the goals – advised former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.

Inaugurating the JSS Public School at HSR Layout on Thursday, Kalam interacted with students, narrated stories as well as made them take an oath to lead an honest life, free from corruption.

“Having a small aim in life is a crime. We need to work with integrity. It’s important to achieve success with integrity,” Kalam said.

Speaking on ‘What milestone will I create in my journey of life’, Kalam said: “To be successful four important principles are – have an aim in life, acquire knowledge, work hard, have perseverance and learn to manage time.”

Dr Kalam emphasized that each individual should plant 10 saplings to achieve a target of having 10 billion new trees by 2015.

Encouraging youngsters to inculcate the habit of reading, the former President advised students to have a home library.

Though the event was delayed by more than an hour, students waited patiently and interacted enthusiastically with the President.

Dr Sri Shivakumara Swamiji asked students to protect freedom of the country and work towards nation building.

Suttur Kshetra, Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra swamiji, said, “The JSS school at HSR Layout started with four students six years ago and today it has more than 1,000.”

The event was presided by governor of Tripura Dr D Y Patil and minister for transport R Ashok, minister for primary and secondary education Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri, BBMP mayor S K Nataraj and deputy mayor N Dayanand

His Excellency Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalaam will be visiting HSR Layout to inaugurate the New Building of JSS Public School tomorrow (i.e, 29th July, 2010). The ceremony is scheduled to take place after 4pm at the JSS Public School on 14th Main, adjacent to BDA Complex, in 6th Sector.
